The Colorado Rockies were in the National Hockey League (NHL) that played in Denver, Colorado, from 1976 to 1982. They were originally the Kansas City Scouts in the 1974–75 season. The Scouts moved from Kansas City. The franchise moved to New Jersey, for the 1982–83 season and was renamed as the New Jersey Devils.
