The Atlanta Thrasers were granted an NHL franchise in 1997, and played from the 1999-2000 season. In 2011 the franchise was sold and moved to Winnipeg to become the second team called the Winnepig Jets. The Atlanta Flames franchise has moved to Canada in 1980 to become the Calgary Flames. |
